Reigning NBA MVP and 10-time All-Star Kobe Bryant officially unveiled his fourth signature model in the Nike Zoom Kobe line. The new low cut design, weighing in at 11.6 ounces, is Nike’s lightest basketball sneaker ever created. Designed by the legendary Eric Avar, the Zoom Kobe IV isn’t as visually appealing as the innovative Hyperdunk model but packs a punch when it comes to performance footwear. The IV utilizes their signature Flywire technology, a performance architecture that uses thin and very strong nylon fibers to support the foot, within the uppers. Also included will be a heel Zoom Air unit, full-length Phylon midsole and LunarLite forefoot foam, the most innovative cushioning system since Nike Air returning energy upon every step rather than absorbing energy. The Nike Zoom Kobe IV is scheduled for a Januray 1st, 2009 release and throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe beginning early February 2009. – Hypebeast
